Want to go skiing in the Rockies?
Winter Park is the closest resort to Denver (ninety minute drive) and it has the best snowfall record of the Colorado (rockies) major resorts. There is skiing up to 3675m, and the resort’s 5 interconnected mountains give a massive 3000 acres of skiable area. Located at the heart of the Arapaho National Forest it has skiing for all standards with one of the best beginner areas, and some of the steepest chutes for intermediates we’ve seen anywhere. In fact it has its own dedicated ‘learn to ski area’ giving confidence and added safety to your group.
A typically American town with a real “Cowboy and Indian” theme it has some great bars and restaurants and some lively nightspots.
