High, snow sure skiing in Austria
The ski resort of Katschberg is located on the border between Salzburg and Carinthia, and is surrounded by the breathtaking “Hohen- and Niederen Tauern” - mountain range in the north and the Gurktaler Alpen in the south. Katschberg is a very popular resort with our groups particularly because of its altitude (1.640-2.220m), which combines the snow guarantee of the main ridge of the Alps with the sunny southern side of the Alps. Also because it offers a broad range of ski runs to suit every ability and the short queuing times at the lifts.
The skiing area of Katschberg-Aineck includes 16 ski lifts and 70 km well groomed ski slopes on the mountains Aineck and Tschaneck, plus 100 % of the ski slopes can be covered with snow by a state-of-the-art snowmaking system ensuring guaranteed snow conditions until late April.
Apres ski facilities include:
Ice Skating: Katschberg and Seeboden
Curling: Katschberg
Swimming: St. Michael or Spittal
Shops, cafes and restaurants: Seeboden
Bowling: Millstatt
