Limited 2009 school ski trip availability
Historically the dates for the February Half Term and the Easter holidays were different depending on which LEA your school was in. There has always been two weeks in February allocated by the government for the half term and 4 weeks in March/April for Easter in which your schools holidays may have fallen. In 2009 for the first time there will now only be one week in February and 2 weeks in April allocated for the entire country and therefore twice as many people will be trying to book their schools ski trip for the same weeks of the year.
Adding to this congestion is that the fact that the Easter holidays are later in the year than usual limiting the number of resorts still open/with good snow fall.
Therefore we strongly recommend that you consider organising your schools ski trip a little earlier this year as the hotels bested suited to school groups are already in considerable demand and waiting until you've returned from this years trip may mean missing out on the better accommodation.
