If it’s variety you’re after on your next school ski trip then choose Saalbach-Hinterglemm – the second largest linked ski area in Austria! The pretty, traditional village of Saalbach and its sister village of Hinterglemm are linked by a ski circus. There are also links to Leogang and Fieberbrunn, giving you even more varied skiing. In total, on your school ski trip to Saalbach-Hinterglemm, you’ll have 270km of pistes to keep you entertained! And you won’t spend much time queuing here, as the lift system is almost entirely made up of fast chairs and gondolas.
Skiing Information
If you have a number of intermediate skiers in your group they’ll love a school ski trip to Saalbach-Hinterglemm, where they’ll find Austria’s largest intermediate area. There’s also plenty for beginners to cut their teeth on, and even advanced skiers will find lots to keep them entertained, thanks to the healthy number of black runs. The impressive amount of variety on offer is great for school ski groups, as the opportunity to try new runs always helps students to improve more quickly, both in confidence and skill.

This modern hotel was built and opened in 2011 and offers fantastic doorstep skiing as well as first class facilities for our groups!
All rooms are modern and comfortable and come with shower, WC and WLAN. Students are accommodated in multi-beddded rooms and staff in twins.

The ice rink at the Saalbach Hinterglemm Sports Centre is open in the winter and is great fun for groups. This outdoor ice rink is also floodlit for evening skating.

Tobogganing is a brilliant way to enjoy the slopes, and the toboggans here have been designed to incorporate brakes, to ensure that your group is safe whilst still having plenty of fun!
The floodlights mean that you can toboggan well into the evening here, making it a great choice for après-ski.

Soak up the atmosphere at a live ice-hockey match with the EC Kitzbühel Eagles in the Austrian second division.

alpine coaster kaprun
The first alpine rollercoaster in Salzburger Land (open all year round in all weather conditions).
Running on tracks, these two-seaters race towards the valley below at speeds as high as 40 km/h. For added excitement the track features built-in waves, jumps and five loops. At its highest point, the track even takes you 11 meters above the ground.
The start and finish of the coaster are located right next to the Schaufelberg car park.
The greatest possible safety and comfort are provided by optimised bucket seats with back support, safety belts and state-of-the-art eddy-current brakes (brake levers mounted on both sides).
