Top Deals for February Half Term 201803/03/2017 12:03:48
Are you just back from your half term school ski trip and keen to get the next one booked in? Or perhaps you missed out this year and don’t want to make the same mistake again?
Then you’ll be pleased to know that there’s still time to book for February half term 2018. Here are our top deals:
Bansko, Bulgaria – from £959pp
Like the luxury of 4 star hotels? Prefer to fly? You really won’t find better value than Bansko.
As Bulgaria’s premier ski resort, Bansko offers high quality accommodation, skiing suitable for all abilities and a great range of après-ski activities.
Still not sure? We went to check the resort out earlier this year and had a great time. Check out our trip diary for more info.
Madonna di Campiglio/Pinzolo, Italy – from £855pp
In our opinion, Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most beautiful resorts in Europe. The skiing is pretty immense too!
But don’t just take our word for it…
A stunning resort with a great range of après-ski activities available. Perfect for more novice skiers but enjoyed by all abilities on our recent trip. Queen Elizabeth Grammar School
Excellent destination! It was actually quite quiet, which made access to ski lifts really quick and easy, and students got a lot of skiing because of this. The resort itself had excellent snow conditions and wasn’t too big – this allowed staff to be no more than 10 minutes away from the different ski groups even if they were on the other side of the mountain. Excellent trip, great instructors, brilliant ski conditions. We have already booked to return next year. Deyes High School
Bardonecchia – from £929pp
The hotel offers so many great facilities, including a swimming pool, table tennis room, golf simulator and even an in-house doctor!
Bardonecchia was totally revamped in 2006 to host the snowboarding events of the Turin Winter Olympics. But it’s still relatively unknown, which means your students can enjoy fantastic skiing without having to wait in long queues for the lifts!
Plus, as a high-altitude resort with predominantly north-facing slopes, snow cover is generally very reliable.
Prato Nevoso/Artesina, Italy – from £879pp
Prato Nevoso/Artesina is one of our most popular resorts. And it’s not hard to see why – it offers real doorstep skiing and friendly hotel staff who always go the extra mile for our groups.
We had a brilliant time! Snow, sunshine, happy students and teachers – what more do we need? Woking High School
Fab location, excellent staff (both at Halsbury and in resort). Fab ski school and skiing. Holyrood Academy
Sestriere, Italy – from £895pp
As one of the largest ski areas around, Sestriere also offers doorstep skiing and plenty of après-ski activities all within walking distance.
The skiing possibilities here are endless, as Sestriere is part of the famous ‘Milky Way’ (Via Lattea in Italian).
And, like Bardonecchia, Sestriere was also a 2006 Winter Olympics venue, hosting some of the Alpine skiing events.
