Berlin has a long tradition as a city of science, experiencing its golden age in the 18th, 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. Names such as Leibniz, Frederick the Great, Humboldt, Schinkel, Hegel and Einstein are all closely associated with the city.

The Berlin Life Science Learning Lab is a fantastic educational visit for biology groups. Students can take part in practical laborartory workshops where they will learn about the basics of genetics, genetic engineering and genome research. Other standout visits here are the Science Centre Spectrum and the Zeiss Planetarium.
