School Music tour to Barcelona and Costa Brava

The Costa Brava region has retained its authentic Spanish character and its location, just north of Barcelona, means the city sights are just a short journey away. Visit the famous Sagrada Familia; enjoy a fun filled day at a local water park and most importantly enjoy performing in exciting and memorable venues!

Your group will have the opprtunity to perform at a variety of venues. Choirs can sing at the Montserrat Monestary, the Girona cathedral and perform afternoon mass at the Barcelona cathedral. Less formal performances can be held in the town squares of Lloret de Mar, Roda de Bara and Peratallada where locals are very friendly and supportive.

Barcelona's cathedral is a celebrated example of Catalan Gothic architecture. It is located in the heart of the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, not far from las Ramblas. Choirs can perform a 45 minute concert in the afternoon. A choir organ is available to use.

Day 1 Depart from school. Ferry/Tunnel crossing. Overnight journey.
Day 2 Travel to Costa Brava Arrive at the resort. Time to explore the area. Time to rehearse at the accommodation.  Evening meal at the hotel.
Day 3 Depart for Barcelona. Time to visit the Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Las Ramblas. Late afternoon concert at the Maritim Museum. Return to Costa Brava for your evening meal.
Day 4 Visit the Waterworld water park. Depart for Figueres. Visit the Dali museum. Late afternoon concert in Figueres town square. Late evening meal at the hotel.
Day 5 Visit Montserrat Monastery. Take funicular to the top of the mountain and enjoy the view pf the Catalonian countryside. Evening concert at Tossa de Mar summer festival.
Day 6 After breakfast, time at the beach or last minute shopping in Tossa. Depart for Calais. Overnight journey.
Day 7 Travel to UK Arrive back home.

Hotel Hawai

The Hawai/ Montevista Hotel is situated in Lloret de Mar just 500m from the beach, the hotel regularly welcomes school groups. Students are generally accommodated in triple or quad rooms and staff in twins. All rooms are en suite and have a safety deposit box and telephone.
Other facilities include 2 lifts, bar / snack bar, television lounge and a dining room. Central heating and air conditioning throughout the hotel. Garden with swimming pool, sunbathing terrace (free sunbeds) and a children's playground. Buffet with all meals.

This 4* hotel boasts 350 modern rooms spread over 5 floors. All rooms come with a full bathroom, terrace, telephone and the majority with air conditioning. The hotel is surrounded by splendid gardens and various facilities are available to guests including a foyer with a 24-hour reception, a lift and a safe. The 3 star Hotel Monica is located in the resort of Calella, just 35 miles from Barcelona making it an ideal choice for school groups. This well-run hotel offers comfortable accommodation and good facilities with a friendly atmosphere.

Other facilities include a pool, restaurant and internet corner.

Park Hotel

Park Hotel offers 71 modern rooms spread over 4 floors. Students will usually be accommodated in multi-bedded rooms and staff in twins, all of which are en-suite. Other facilities include satellite television, air conditioning, and telephone. A buffet breakfast will be served each morning.
