School Leisure & Tourism trip to Bruges

Known as the Venice of the North, Bruges is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. In 2000 UNESCO included the entire historical city centre on the World Heritage list. Walking along the maze of winding cobbled alleys and romantic canals, you can imagine yourself to be back in medieval times. The wealth of museums is a striking image of this city's stirring history, though some are purely for fun, for example Choco Story, where you are immersed in the ancient Mexican world of the Mayas and the Aztecs for whom chocolate was the drink of the gods and cocoa beans a means of payment. The Christmas markets are a great attraction during the festive season with the market square transformed by magical lights, stalls selling decorations, traditional arts and crafts and all surrounding the ice rink.
