Guided walking tour of Valencia
Guided walking tour of the old town of Valencia with a Spanish tutor from the Spanish language school. A very useful introduction to the history of the city which helps with students orientation. The tour is offered in Spanish.
Musee Fallero
Every year one ninot (a figurine of a falla) is saved from fire and placed into this museum. They are so well made, that it is like being in the wax museum of Madamme Tussauds, only much more amusing (the fallas are traditionally humorous). It is also an interesting insight into the Valencian psyche, as the figures are saved by the popular vote. You will see representatives from the last 80 years ...
Margues de dos Aguas Museum
The Palace of the Marques de Dos Aguas is a beautiful palace located on Calle San Vicente Martir and is one of the best examples of Rococo architecture. Today the palace is the home of the National Ceramics Museum, which has one of the largest collections of ceramics in Spain. The palace was built at the end of the 15th century and completely redone in 1740.
The City of Arts & Sciences
The largest urban complex in Europe for cultural, educational and leisure expansion. The Ciudad de las Artes Y las Ciencias, the symbol of 21st Century Valencia, has been designed as a place to learn by having fun.
Valencia Cathedral
This Cathedral is dedicated to Santa Maria, and in fact used to be a Mosque, but when El Cid conquered the city, it became a Roman Catholic Cathedral. It has been the main Cathedral in Valencia to this day and guards a goblet alleged to be the Holy Grail.
Malvarrosa Beach
This is the place to come to enjoy authentic Paella! There are many outdoor terraces for you to enjoy the sun, and many restaurants to choose from. Groups of all ages will enjoy spending time on the beach.
