School Primary Languages trip to Opal Coast

With visits less than 1 hour away from Calais, the Opal Coast region is the perfect destination for younger groups. Take your pupils to a chocolate factory, a local bakery, the Bagatelle theme park, Nausicaa Sea world, a trip to the seaside or experience the atmosphere at one of the local markets.

Make it a one day school trip, or stay for a couple of days to really give your pupils the opportunity to explore and ptactise their French.

Patrick and Kerry welcome school groups of all ages to their traditional sweet factory, where they will see the production of sweets including free tasters and a visit to the sweet shop after.

Chocolats de Beussent

Primary school groups are welcomed to this chocolate factory  in the heart of the rural Course Valley, where they will have the chance to taste some traditionally made artisan chocolate and see how it is made.

Nausicaa

Nausicaa
Bring your students to see the tropical lagoons, sea lion enclosures, shark tanks and affectionate stingrays. Nausicaa SeaLife centre seeks to educate children about the marine environment, man's impact upon it and why it is important that marine life shoud be protected. This is one of our most popular visits amongst primary school groups.

Boulangerie "Le Fournil"

Boulangerie
A visit to this traditional Family owned bakery gives your students a great introduction to France. Your group will have the chance to watch a baker at work in the original part of the bakery and visit the modern part of the bakery to watch croissants being made. To conclude your visit, you will be able to sample fresh baguettes and croissants.

FUAJ Boulogne

Situated halfway between the port and the old town, the centre is in an ideal location for visiting Boulogne and the region of the Pas-de-Calais. It includes a restaurant, bar, table tennis and TV area. Pupils will be accommodated in mainly triple rooms which are all en suite. Run by very friendly staff, this centre is enjoyed by school groups each year. Please note that if staff members require single rooms a supplement will apply.

Hippotel

The accommodation is in rooms of 2 to 6, with singles available for a supplement, each with bath or shower and separate WC. the rooms have TV with some English channels. There is a bar with terrace and a games area. Two conference rooms are available seating up to 30.
