Example AccommodationKoblenz
The focus of the riverside city of Koblenz is the Deutsches Eck, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle, where a huge equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I now stands as a monument to German unity – a unique monument in a country where nationalism is almost taboo.
Marksburg
Towering above the riverside village of Braubach, the Marksburg is the only castle in the Rhine valley never to have been taken by force. This also means it’s one of the most complete mediaeval fortresses in Germany, and one of the most rewarding to visit.
Boppard
The town of Boppard has all the ingredients for an unforgettable trip Germany: hills and valleys, quiet lanes and lively squares, and a wealth of nature and culture. In the Valley of the Loreley as well as on the heights of the nearby Hunsrück Hills, Boppard has a lot to offer in many respects both to residents and guests.
Loreley Visitor Centre
The deepest and narrowest point along the Rhine’s course, the famously beautiful cliff at Loreley is the focal point of the whole middle Rhine. The visitor centre explains the Loreley’s importance in German folklore as well as the geology and ecology of the Rhine valley.

Niederwald Falconry Centre
Located at the Niederwald Monument, and accessible by cable car from the Rhineside village of Rüdesheim, the falconry centre is a great out-of-the-ordinary excursion in the Rhineland. The children will have the opportunity to see some of between 50 and 60 birds of up to 25 different species.
Burg Eltz
One of Germany’s most photogenic castles, Burg Eltz is perched on a wooded crag above a tributary valley of the Moselle. Throughout its eight-hundred-year history, the castle has belonged to the von and zu Eltz family, now in its thirty-third generation.

Hotel L'Europe
Hotel L'Europe is located on the bank of the Rhine and offers 84 comfortable rooms. Students will be accommodated in multi bedded rooms and staff in twins, all of which are en suite. (Some rooms have balconies but these can be locked and keys given to the Group Leader.) Meals will be taken in the hotel restaurant, there is also a terrace area. Use of a room for a disco or evening activities can be arranged in advance.
This hotel does require a damage/behaviour deposit of €10 cash per student on arrival. This will be refunded on departure provided no problems have occurred. Please note towels are not provided.

Hotel Erholung
Due to its lovely surroundings in the tranquil Loreley town and its personal and friendly atmosphere, Hotel Erholung is a favourite choice for school groups many of whom request it each year.
Pupils will be accommodated in twin or triple rooms all with en-suite facilities. The management always pay particular attention to accommodating teaching staff near to the pupils. The hotel is situated on a quiet road on the outskirts of St Goarshausen and is a ten minute walk from the Rhine. Language activities can take place in the hotel dining area. There is also a bar and a pretty sun terrace. Please note this particular hotel requires a damage deposit of €10 per person, to be paid in cash on arrival.
