School French Language Courses trip to Boulogne
A stay at the Boulogne-sur-mer Summer University will result not only in your students improving their French, but they will also have the chance to discover the region, the culture and traditions of the country and to converse with the local inhabitants. Available week commencing 8th and 15th July 2012 this trip is perfect for all year groups for your school's activities week. French lessons are held each morning with native tutors with afternoon visits to exciting places such as Nausicaa, Aqualud and Bagatelle. We have 3, 4 and 5 day itineraries available. Groups can stay on-site at the Lycée Mariette or at the nearby FUAJ youth hostel.

Bowling Boulogne
Tenpin bowling has been a favourite for many years and is a fun activity for all ages. Bowling Boulogne has fully computerised lanes, bumpers and ramps for the younger children so everyone can play. There is shoe hire with all sizes being available along with a wide selection of bowling balls to ensure all players can select the correct one.
Pain Show
Bring your French students to learn how speciality pancakes are made from the basic ingredients and help to produce them. In the end enjoy your own pancake with jam or chocolate sauce and an orange juice! You will also watch how the traditional French "patissiers" work the marzipan and will be given a marzipan souvenir for your School.
Boulogne’s Old Town and Ramparts
The Haute Ville, at the heart of the historic port of Boulogne, is encircled by one of the best-preserved sets of mediaeval walls in northern France. Built on the site of Roman walls, it’s still possible to walk all the way around.
Nausicaa
Nausicaa Sea Life Centre is a great visit for French groups of all ages. Students are invited to learn about the marine environment, man's impact upon it and why it is important that marine life should be protected. Tropical lagoons, sea lion enclosures, shark tanks and affectionate stingrays are all very popular.Allow 1.5-2 hours for your visit.
Aqualud Swimming
A wonderful indoor and outdoor heated swimming complex of 8000 square metres with slides, wave machines, spa pools, and sun-bathing areas. There are on site shops selling everything for swimming and a good cafeteria ‘Buccaneers’. A must for the summer!

FUAJ Boulogne
Situated halfway between the port and the old town, the centre is in an ideal location for visiting Boulogne and the region of the Pas-de-Calais. It includes a restaurant, bar, table tennis and TV area. Pupils will be accommodated in mainly triple rooms which are all en suite. Run by very friendly staff, this centre is enjoyed by school groups each year. Please note that if staff members require single rooms a supplement will apply.
