We are delighted to announce that the renewed Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 will be opening to the public on Saturday 13 July 2013. The current visit will be extended with a new wing entirely dedicated to the Battle of Passchendaele, an outdoor trench experience and a remembrance gallery. The museum will display a collection over 5000 items. Meanwhile, the current museum (which has been completely renovated) stays fully accessible to the public, every day from 1 February until 30 November.
2014 will mark the First World War Centenary, 100 years since the outbreak of war. Why not take your students on a WW1 Battlefields Tour as part of your school's commemoration plans.
Find out more about the different activities your students can take part in and the museums you can visit on our WW1 battlefields tour page.
