Königsplatz

Commisioned by Ludwig I, the architect Leo von Klenze planned this Royal square. It is constructed in Neo-Classical style and is home to several museums, for example, the Glyptothek, a collection of Greek and Roman sculptures. During the Third Reich, the monumental square was used by the National Socialist for reunions and deployments.

Feldherrnhalle

On 9 November 1923, the Feldherrnhalle was the scene of a confrontation between the Bavarian State Police and an illegal organised march by the followers of Hitler.
