The Grand Canyon Trip
The Grand Canyon is perhaps the most breathtaking sight in all of the US. This 277 mile long canyon has been carved over millions of years by the winding Colorado River that now runs approximately 1 mile down at the base of the canyon. The canyon ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles and offers visitors views that can't be matched anywhere else in the world. Also not to be missed are the stunning Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Zion, located at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and Mojave Desert regions provide the park with unique geography and variety of life zones which allows for unusual plant and animal diversity. Bryce Canyon, despite its name, is not actually a canyon, but rather a giant natural amphitheatre. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological structures, called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks.

High cliffs and rich springs offer a cool, moist environment where a variety of plants and small...
Bryce Canyon National Park is a spectacular sight and not to be missed on any trip to Utah. The name is somewhat of a misnomer, as this stunning formation is actually not a canyon but a collection of natural amphitheatres. The colours are truly breathtaking, with red, orange and white hues.
The Grand Canyon is the most famous natural attraction in the USA, and possibly in the world. It is one of the best examples of the effects of erosion in the world, having been created by water and wind carving through the rock. The Grand Canyon is huge, measuring 277 miles long, with a depth of over a mile. The width ranges from 4 to 18 miles. The South Rim of the Canyon (this includes Grand Can...
Rising 100 feet above the Beaver Creek floodplain, Montezuma Castle is a testimony to the resilience and innovations of a people called the “Sinagua,” named after the Spanish term for the San Francisco Peaks, “Sierra Sin Agua” — “the mountain without water.”Montezuma Castle is one of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in the United States.
