School Food Technology Trip to Barcelona and Costa Brava

At the heart of the Costa Brava, Barcelona is a great place for exploring the food and cuisine of the region.

Stroll down La Rambla, climb the towers of the Sagrada Familia and experience the many interesting culinary experiences on offer. Visit the famous wineries of the Pinedes region, a local catering school or take a class in making “tapas” and other Spanish specialities.

Many groups stay at one of the fantastic coastal resorts, such as Calella, Lloret de Mar, Blanes or Tossa de Mar, in which case, a day at Port Aventura or Waterworld is a great addition to the tour!

Barcelona Urbany Hostel

Barcelona Urbany Hostel is on Barcelona’s Meridiana Avenue, 300 metres from Clot Metro Station. It boasts a rooftop terrace with great city views as well as a common room with DVDs, cable TV and Wii consoles. A free wired internet zone is available, and the hostel has a 24-hour reception.

Each modern dormitory or room features lockers, an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. Bed linen and free WiFi are provided and towels are available to hire.

There is also a café-bar and vending machines.

ApartHotel Bcn Montjuic

Set at the foot of Montjuic Hill, this aparthotel is a 10-minute walk from Plaza Espanya Metro Station and Airport Bus Stop. It offers free Wi-Fi, and a gym and sauna for an extra charge. Barcelona city centre can be reached in 15 minutes by bus or Metro.

All modern rooms at the Montjuic are air-conditioned and have a flat-screen TV, a seating area and a kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Kitchen utensils and plates are available to rent at the reception.

The BCN has a TV room, as well as a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk, where guests can arrange to visit local attractions. Laundry service is also available.
