School Food Technology trip to Brussels

Belgium is world-renowned for its Chocolate and beer, making Brussels the ideal location for a Food Technology trip.

There is a wide variety of visits on offer from a demonstration at a local Chocolaterie, a visit to the huge Mechelen Fruit & Vegetable Auction and of course a visit to one of the many local breweries. The Stella Artois Brewery in nearby Leuven is always a popular visit. A cookery demonstration at a local catering school can also be organised on request.

YH Bruegel

The modern hostel building “Bruegel” is only a few minutes away from the heart of the old city of Brussels, the “Grote Markt”. This is an ideal location to start your sight-seeing tour of the historical buildings, the lively neighbourhoods and the many local cafés.
Students will be accommodated in mostly 4 bedded rooms, staff in twins or singles. Toilets and showers are on each floor. There is also an attractive inner court, sitting corners and leisure rooms.
