Our People

When we say we were created by teachers, for teachers, we really mean it! Our founder and Managing Director, Keith Sharkey, created Halsbury to help make it easier for more teachers to take their students on inspirational school trips abroad.

Our Director, Sue, is also a former teacher with many years of experience in leading school trips herself.

Behind them is our dynamic team of former teachers and school travel specialists.

These are our people. And your support network.

"I regard travelling abroad, and learning about different cultures and languages, as a mind-broadening and highly educating experience – I have tried to enable as many people as possible to share in the wonderfully inspiring joys of travel and language learning."

Sue Sharkey

Sue Sharkey

A former geography and sociology teacher, Sue worked in secondary schools for 25 years and, like Keith, she was very much involved in organising school trips abroad during this time.
