Design and Technology is a hands-on subject, so what better way to demonstrate the applications of it across the world than to take your students on a school trip abroad? Your students can explore and compare old and new technology in design and technology museums, get up close to some of the world’s most impressive buildings and witness the end results of design projects in the real world.
New York and Berlin are certainly important global centres for design and technology, and offer plenty of opportunities for inspiration. A tour to New York could include Apple Store Workshops and visits to schools and museums of design. A tour to Berlin, whilst closer to home, will be no less exciting, with tours of the Olympic Stadium and an architecture tour.
