The Prague Spring Music Festival is a yearly celebration of music that features opera, chamber music and symphonies. The Prague Symphony, the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as other international orchestras take part in this annual festival which began in 1946. The concerts of the Prague Spring Music Festival take place at various venues around Prague: The National Theatre, the Municipal House, St. Anne's Monastery, the Estates Theatre, the State Opera, other churches, theatres and concert houses also host events. The festival runs from mid May to early June and has Music competitions each year.
