In 1787, shortly before the premiere of Don Giovanni at the Estates Theatre in Prague, Mozart withdrew to Bertramka to finish his opera. Bertramka was the romantic summer residence of his friends the Dušeks. In 1791, Mozart was again at Bertramka, when he came to Prague for his coronation opera on Titus.
From April to September Bertramka presents classical concerts, some with a "living history" element, with performers re-enacting the days of the 18th century in period costume.
