There is an unparalleled wealth of discovery to delight and intrigue travellers as they explore Beijing''s ancient past and enjoy its exciting modern development. Beijing has been the home of three major Chinese dynasties for the past 1000 years and therefore has a rich tradition of art. This runs from the exhibitions at Beijing Art Museum, the contemporary art at Artscenebeijing, to the plentiful Embroidery, Ceramics, Fans, New Year Pictures, Silk Painting, Brush Writing and Calligraphy through to the more esoteric interior painting of Snuff Bottles and ‘Potted Landscapes’.
