There is ever increasing focus on environmental issues within the travel industry, so what do we do at Halsbury Travel to stay green?

Travel to and from work

Located on the outskirts of Nottingham, our office is well served by regular bus and train services. Halsbury travel also offers a shared car scheme from the city centre to our offices every day.

Office recycling

Recycling is one of our regular office activities. There are glass and paper recycling stations throughout the office and we reuse all paper as note books.

Online vs. printed brochures

While many companies use great resources printing large glossy brochures, we have moved all our old printed marketing material online, saving resources and paper. We even do our quotes and confirmations via email, not only saving the environment but also making it a much smoother and quicker process for our customers.
The very limited printed advertising we do send in the post all shows the “Please recycle” logo.

Coach vs. air

Flying is of course the big issue when it comes to carbon emissions, but we are pleased to still offer coach options to all our European destinations as a more environmentally friendly alternative to flying. Choosing a coach option means 90% less carbon emission, and will of course also save £ for the students. Fsor long haul flights to USA we mainly use Virgin Atlantic, one of the few airlines with a carbon offsetting scheme guaranteeing that passengers emissions are offset against the highest sustainable and renewable energy standards.
