Company History

Halsbury Travel was incorporated in March 1986 and has been serving the needs of school and adult groups for the last 24 years. During this time we have expanded rapidly to our current size, carrying 40,000 passengers per year and arranging over 650 tours annually.

Our Expertise

We take pride in offering tailor made school tours that will inspire your pupils and bring your subject to life by taking learning outside of the classroom. By offering tailor made tours, we can design a bespoke trip that is tailored to your unique requirements. Each of our trip advisors are specialists in their subject areas and work with you to advise and provide an expert insight into the educational value of your chosen tour and activities.

The Team

Halsbury Travel is a family run business with two generations now working in the company. Both Directors and founders of the company are also former teachers of Modern Languages, Geography and Sociology with over 43 years teaching and group leader experience between them. This provides us with an expert insight into the needs and requirements of our group leaders and what we can do to make sure their trip runs smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible.

Many of our staff are fluent linguists, with several being native speakers from countries all over Europe and so can provide local knowledge of the towns and cities that we offer.

Safety

Our staff make a point of visiting the centers we use on a regular basis to maintain personal contact with the hoteliers and tourist office staff, and we are constantly vigilant regarding health and safety.

Halsbury Work Experience Abroad

Our work experience programme has been running since 1992 and in this time we have been successful in arranging and taking many thousands of students on rewarding and memorable work experience trips each year to France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Halsbury Language Courses Abroad

Our language courses programme has been running since 2005 and in this time we have been successful in arranging language course trips to France, Germany, Spain and Italy for thousands of school groups and individuals. On a Halsbury language course you study the language in the country that it is spoken, totally immersing yourself in the culture, way of life and of course the language.

Tours 4 Sport

In 2012, Tours 4 Sport, a company that specialises in sports tours for schools, sports clubs, universities and groups joined the Halsbury Group to become the new sports division of Halsbury Travel. Our sports tour managers specialise in good, honest advice on each destination or tournament and will help you with the planning and administration of your sports tour from start to finish.
